Diet For Fast Weight Loss - How Cheating Can Give You Fast Weight Loss

By Dr. Becky Gillaspy

A diet for fast weight loss used to mean starving yourself and seeing how long you could take it but not anymore! New research into the way your hormones handle fat loss as well as real life weight loss success stories are showing that the best way to lose weight rapidly is to cheat on a regular basis!

Since we all know that weight is gained due to eating too many calories then it seems logical that reducing your calorie intake will cause your body to lose weight and this is true...up to a point. However, if you restrict your calorie intake too severely your body will actually slow and practically stop fat loss. You can be eating 500 calories fewer than your body needs each day and not lose one ounce of fat.

Here's what happens?

Your body has hormones that act as watchmen. One hormone in particular called leptin takes on the responsibility of watching for drops in the amount of food your body takes in. When it notices that your food intake has dropped it sends a signal to the brain which sets off an alarm warning that something is wrong and you are not eating enough.

Now leptin thinks it is doing the right thing because it's main concern is keeping you alive and not allowing you to starve to death. Leptin can not tell that you are voluntarily restricting your calories so it sets off the alarm. Once this alarm signal is detected your body goes into protective mode, it slams down your metabolism so you no longer lose your stored energy reserves, i.e. fat. And if that isn't bad enough it also increases your cravings hoping to force you to eat more!

Can you see now why a traditional diet for fast weight loss doesn't work?

There is a better solution and that is to outsmart your body by cheating. By strategically scheduling a "Cheat Day" every week into your diet plan you convince your body that it is not starving and your body responses by opening up your fat burning metabolism and quieting your cravings.

This is a dieting strategy whose time has come, it makes sense and it is backed by research. So if your goal is to diet for fast weight loss then I advice you to place a "Cheat Day" in your dieting week. If you would like to learn how to do this and create an effective weight loss plan for yourself, I highly recommend the work of Joel Marion and his program Cheat Your Way Thin. He has been teaching this method for years and has the success stories along with before and after photos to prove his approach works.

Adonia LegTone Serum Melts Cellulite in Just 9 Minutes

Miracle cream might actually work, reports have it

Green Island Labs has come up with a wonder cream that, once applied to the parts more prone to the unsightly orange peel skin, such as the legs, thighs, abdomen and even arms, makes cellulite simply vanish in just nine minutes. Priced at almost $100 (£68) a bottle, Adonia is already available in the US and will go on sale in the UK in the coming days, which is why it has made British scientists see whether it could really work as promised. Initial tests show that it might.

With such a high price tag and given the fact that it has been repeatedly scientifically proven that anti-cellulite creams simply don’t work – to put it in as few words as possible – British scientists were amazed and somehow shocked when Green Island Labs announced it had found the perfect recipe for the perfect cream that could melt cellulite away.

Testing done over in the US by the company sure seems to point that the claim is valid, but, so far, nothing specific has yet been made public. At the same time, women who have tried the serum vouch that it actually works, as long as you’re not expecting a miracle to happen.

“Most cellulite creams are not clinically proven and have little or no benefit, leaving most women frustrated to say the least. Most companies simply are not targeting the cause – but the secret has finally been discovered and captured in a bottle. Now we’re not saying that a healthy diet and lashings of water, combined with a regular exercise regime, won’t help to keep cellulite levels down – but sometimes a girl just needs a little extra help.” Dr. Mark Binette, chief executive at Green Island Labs, says of the “miracle anti-cellulite cream.”

Adonia is made of plant stem cells from natural plant embryos, mixed with 23 plant oils (ginger oil, rosemary oil and lemon peel oil). Plant stem cells “help to re-awaken and reactivate dormant or less active skin stem cells back to the levels they were in your 20s,” the company adds. British scientists are still skeptic though, with some of them calling this pseudo-science “total gibberish,” while others are asking the company to come forward with the figures of the tests and the standards to which they have been compared.

With all that, women who have tested the cream maintain that it actually works, and that the more superficial layers of cellulite disappear, making the skin smooth again, as the Daily Mail informs. It’s not a miracle as promised (Green Island Labs claims women will notice a 47% improvement in 9 minutes, and a 70% one with long term use), nonetheless it’s a step forward.

Weight Loss Programs - Which One Will Work For You?

By Scott M. Thompson

How many diet programs have you tried? Why did you stop using them? Did you lose any weight and keep it off? These are the questions you need to ask yourself. If you are like me, you have tried multiple diets, you stopped because it wasn't convenient, the food didn't taste good, there wasn't enough support with the program, and it got monotonous eating the same foods over and over. The weight you did lose with the program was back on in 2 months.

If all these answers are like your answers, you are not alone. I have been there too. I've tried pills, shakes, counting calories, pre-packaged diet meals, and exercising. Below are the three popular programs I have tried with my opinion of each.

1. Medifast

I was looking through a magazine and seen an advertisement for Medifast. The ad was put together well and the food, or so called food, looked really appetizing. The program was called the 5 and 1 plan. This plan allows you to eat 5 of their meals and 1 of your own called a lean and green meal. The plan sounded good so I ordered it. I was surprised when I received my order. All the food was in envelopes, except for the dessert bars. The soups were just a flavored powder it seemed like, and the shakes were just mixed with water, it had the consistency of skim milk.

If all you are after are results, then I can say that Medifast works fine until you get tired of basically a liquid diet. I found myself to the point when I got to eat my lean and green meal, I overate just for the pleasure of chewing on something.

My recommendation: If you just have 10 pounds to lose in two weeks this program will be fine. To sustain this program for any longer would drive you nuts.

2. Nutrisystem

Nutrisystem is a popular program I did enjoy the first couple of weeks. I got to chew on something, I didn't have to mix anything, all my meals were pre-packaged, and the chocolate desserts were excellent. The only downfall I had was the taste of the food. The pastas all tasted the same weather it was meatloaf or stroganhoff. I was eating different foods, but they all had the same taste. The chicken breast and the hamburgers, which I ordered the most of, were just disgusting.

My favorite Nutrisystem meal was probably the scrambled eggs. I would mix in some ham or mushrooms and make it into an omelet. When the scrambled eggs were cooked in a microwave though, they weren't as good.

My recommendation: Nutrisystem is not a bad program to stick with, but it does get a little monotonous. Just make sure you order the foods you like instead of letting Nutrisystem select for you.

3. Bistro M.D.

Bistro M.D. is by far my favorite program so far. The meals take a little more time to prepare because they are cooked by chefs and then frozen. The taste and quality are well worth it. I couldn't believe the portion size. After coming off of other diet plans I wasn't expecting to be able to eat that much food. Bistro M.D. is one program that I haven't gotten tired of because they change their menus every week. It is like eating out at a restaurant every day. I have been with Bistro M.D. now for almost two months and the results are amazing.

I feel that Bistro M.D. is the perfect diet solution for people who need to lose weight and keep it off. The system addresses all my issues I had with other diets such as convenience, taste, support, and variety.

My recommendation: You owe it to yourself to try Bistro M.D. This is what dieting is suppose to be like. If you are struggling to find a quality diet program, try Bistro M.D.

Look Sexy Like the Victoria's Secret Angels - Complete Diet and Workout!

By Melissa Larone

They stare at us from billboards, glossy magazine pages and catalogues. Once a year they strut their sexy slim bodies down a long glittery runway, eyes from all around the world are fixed on them. Whether it be their never ending lean legs or firm toned midsection...there is something about them that just screams perfection. They have angelic soft faces, nothing is out of proportion. Walking dolls. They are the Victoria's Secret Angels.

We may not all be blessed with flawless faces and one in a million genetics. But we all do have the ability to shape and recreate our own bodies. We can decide if we want the petite feminine look of a ballerina, the toned lean look of a fitness model, the ultra skinny size 0 fashion model look or if we want to be lovely and curvaceous.

We have the ability to create the body of our dreams. It's not rocket science, it all comes down to nutrition and exercise. It's quite simple. I'm going to reveal the Victoria's Secret Angel Workout. This is what the likes of Heidi Klum, Miranda Kerr, Giselle Bundchen and Adriana Lima follow to get into shape.

Cardio is an important part of their workout. It depends on your own personal genetic makeup. Giselle Bundchen doesn't need to do cardio to stay in shape, she adds yoga and horse riding to her regime, where as Miranda Kerr runs 5km evryday with her trainer.

If you are naturally very thin and want to add some muscle to look more feminine and sculpted like the angels, then you won't need to do cardio. If its in your genetics to hold fat or if you haven't been eating healthily and have some weight to lose. You could start off by adding a 45 minute walk in the morning before you have breakfast. If you want to go hardcore and get the fastest results possible, you can do what Miranda Kerr does and go for a long run every day.

Whatever you decide to do with your cardio is your choice. Here are the exercises that everyone who wants the look of a Victorias Secret Angel must follow.

2 minutes: Light stretching, including Good Mornings and Good Mornings with Knee Bends
1 minute: Jumping Jacks
30 seconds: Platypus Walks
1 minute: Shadowboxing with Crossovers, Uppercuts and Knee Bends
1 minute: Plié Squats with Calf Raises
2 minutes: Reverse Lunges
1 minute: Squat Thrusts
1 minute: Scissors Reverse Crunches
2 minutes: Deluxe
1 minute: Bench Stepups (if possible, combine with Triceps Kickbacks)
1 minute: Pushups

Now for the diet. The models eat small meals 5 times a day. They avoid processed food and usually stick to eating organic fruit and vegetables when possible. Their diet is high in protein so they keep their muscle and only lose fat.

There you have it! Now you have the ability to look as sexy as a Victoria's Secret Model! If you don't have a willingness to work hard, chances are you will just go from one fad diet to the next. It didn't take you a week to gain all the weight you may be trying to lose, so don't expect to lose it in a week.

Viagra moisturiser that shrinks waistlines

Zagreb, April, 02: Scientists are on their way to provide double bonanza to women looking for healthy skin – a moisturiser containing Viagra that could resolve cellulite issues.

The drug sildenafil has had mixed success as a drug for women, but according to Croatian researchers incorporating the stuff into a moisturiser could open up a whole new market, reports New Scientist.

Beneath the skin surface is a layer of fatty tissue that is thicker in women with cellulite than those without. The distinctive "orange peel" dimpling pattern associated with cellulite comes from this fat layer and an irregular layer of collagen beneath the skin.

According to Karmela Altabas and colleagues from the University Hospital "Sisters of Charity" in Zagreb, Viagra has two things going for it as an anti-cellulite treatment.

First, enzyme inhibitors like sildenafil had been shown to break down fat in test tubes, so it might do the same to fat deposited under the skin. And since Viagra famously boosts blood flow, a moisturiser containing the drug might break down fat and then whisk it away.

Though no Viagra cream has been made yet, Altabas stresses that his proposal is "just a hypothesis," and would need a lot of investigation from pharmaceutical companies, if any are interested.
